The situation on the battlefield could change dramatically once Ukraine acquires F-16 fighter jets. This statement was made by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with Kyodo News.

He expressed confidence that "the situation will fundamentally change" after the arrival of F-16 fighter jets from the West to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, but admitted that it is difficult to regain control of the entire territory of the country.

"While Russia continues to occupy the territory, including Crimea, there can be no talk of any negotiations," emphasized Danilov. According to him, Ukraine has concluded an unofficial agreement not to use weapons supplied by the West for attacks on the Russian mainland. However, Danilov suggests that targets around Moscow could become targets for domestically-produced weapons. When the F-16 jets will arrive in Ukraine The first F-16 fighter jets are expected to arrive in Ukraine as early as spring. This opinion was expressed by United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at a press conference in Brussels.
