The situation at the front near Vuhledar in Donetsk region is critical, and there are currently no real solutions. Military expert and former spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Vladyslav Seleznyov, said this on the air of the TV program "Great Lviv Speaks."

Seleznyov declared the total superiority of the enemy in the Vuhledar area and reported that the enemy had already entered the city from the southeast.

“There are basically no options to resolve this crisis today. First, the enemy has a significant advantage in forces and resources - at least eight times more than ours in some positions,” - the expert said.

"Secondly, the fact is that the enemy has already entered Vuhledar from the southeastern part. This is a “gray zone” where Russian special forces and sabotage and reconnaissance groups are active. A key factor affecting the battlefield situation is the enemy's air superiority," the former spokesman of the General Staff noted.

According to him, the Ukrainian forces now face a dilemma: what's more important - a square kilometer of territory or the lives and health of our soldiers?

“Soon, we’ll see maneuver defense from the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” he predicts.

He added that the crisis situation was not only in the Vuhledar region.

"I would also pay attention to the situation in the Toretsk and Selydove regions. There are also every reason to believe that the situation has a tendency to worsen," the expert noted.
