The Russian army increased its shelling of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. As a result of the attack on December 26, one person was killed and another was injured.

This was announced by Head of Avdiivka City Military Administration, Vitaliy Barabash, on the air of the telethon.

According to him, the city is increasingly being destroyed every day. The occupying army has started shelling the city and positions around it more intensively, Barabash emphasizes.

"If a week ago, we recorded an average of 30 shellings per day in the community area, then in the past few days, it's been 40 or more. We understand that the enemy can't execute its plans to encircle and capture the city, that’s why they are trying to compensate for this with the density of shelling," the Head of the City Military Administration emphasized.

Currently, 1203 people remain under daily shelling in Avdiivka. Today, as a result of shelling, a man born in 1966 was killed, and his wife was injured.

"The enemy is storming around the clock. They shell around the clock. It's not getting quieter or easier," Barabash stressed.
