Russian president-dictator, Volodymyr Putin, is not offering Ukraine peace negotiations but is only talking about the capitulation of Kyiv.

This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podolyak, in an interview on “Freedom.”

"I don't know why people are still calling any of Putin's proposals negotiations. No, it has never been negotiations, and he will never offer Ukraine negotiations. His defeat in the war is the most optimal option in this situation for the world, not just for Ukraine," emphasized the Presidential Office representative.

According to him, the temporary ceasefire agreement is also in Putin's interests to prepare for the next stages of the war. Podolyak stresses that the Kremlin leader uses statements about supposed negotiations "when there are some escalations somewhere." Currently, he adds, the situation is in the Middle East.

Putin seems to believe that Ukraine is weakening in terms of external political positions. He thinks that there can be pressure applied here, and probably someone from the Russian lobbying network will support his statements, leading to increased pressure on Ukraine to recognize the temporarily occupied territories as Russian. And you understand perfectly well that leaving Russia in part of Ukraine will be the next phase of the war – a phase of accumulating resources and internal division of Ukraine, internal terrorist attacks, and so on," Mykhailo Podolyak notes.
