In Odesa, an enemy drone destroyed a children's sailing school. The day before, during an aerial battle, one of the "Shaheds" was shot down by the air defense forces, and the combat part of the drone fell into the courtyard of the sports facility. A powerful explosion destroyed almost the entire building. Neighboring boats and yachts were also damaged by debris.

A Russian drone in Odesa destroyed a children's sailing school. Now there's a gap in the concrete, and the fragments from the school's roof and walls are scattered over hundreds of meters. Due to the powerful explosion, part of the metal roof was torn off and thrown into the nearby bay of the yacht club. The military says that this time the Russians used a combined attack again. And despite the fact that six strike drones were shot down over the sea, the wreckage reached the coast.
"This was an attack - both drone and missile. By depleting the air defense systems, the enemy clearly employed a complex launch trajectory for the “Shahed” type of drones.
They were heading from the Crimean peninsula, usually attacking from the Black Sea. But detection and hitting were complicated by their maneuvers," the Spokeswoman of the United Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Natalia Humeniuk says.

Only ruins remain of the sailing school
Ruins remain of the sailing school. The director of the institution says that 150 children from 6 to 18 years of age studied here. However, how the institution will operate in the future, considering that both the school and many boats at the dock have been destroyed, is unknown.
"The school building is not the only thing that's ruined, but also many boats, yachts, motorboats, and equipment we had. This is a huge tragedy because we don't understand how all of this will be restored. It's horrifying, and there's no understanding. It's a country that destroys everything that children have achieved," the school's director, Vyacheslav Kravchenko says.

Experts will determine whether the school can be restored. The amount of damage has not yet been calculated, but it is already clear that it will be huge. The price of just one of the many destroyed boats or yachts ranges from 3 to 15 thousand euros. In addition, a lot of equipment is broken. No one was here at night, so there were no killed or wounded.
The targets of the occupiers
The military is confident that the enemy was targeting the port infrastructure, but the severe weather prevented them from launching a massive attack - there was a storm the day before.
"The priority of the coast is obvious, as there are many objects located on it that can be in the enemy's priority zone, in particular port infrastructure. We continue to insist that the coastal zone remains a danger zone and a defense zone. That is why the objects in it can be under targeted fire," Natalia Humeniuk noted.
Immediately after the drone attacks, the Russians attempted to launch a missile, using aviation, but the air defense forces successfully neutralized it.
