"This trio can work well": what Ukraine lacks for successful attacks on Crimea
In addition to the "Storm Shadow" cruise missiles and "Neptune" anti-ship missiles, Ukrainian forces require another weapon to inflict maximum damage to the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
"ATACMS" long-range missiles
Ukrainian military needs "ATACMS" missiles to work in tandem with "Storm Shadow" and "Neptune" to deliver effective strikes on the territory of Crimea.
Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy of Ukraine in 2004-2020 and Military Expert Andriy Ryzhenko told "Channel 24" about this.
According to him, "ATACMS" long-range missiles are designed to destroy exactly those targets that Ukraine needs. The speed of this weapon is five times greater than the speed of sound, allowing it to pass through enemy air defenses unnoticed, even without the possibility of interception. Therefore, it is needed to complement the capabilities of "Storm Shadow" and "Neptune."
"This trio can work very effectively against critical military targets in Crimea: naval bases, airfields, concentrations of equipment, and logistical installations. I believe the question of the third component will be resolved," said Andriy Ryzhenko.
