"We Just Cannot Keep Up Physically." Zhdanov Tells What Weapons the Armed Forces Need
Oleh Zhdanov believes that the invaders periodically gain an advantage that in the battles around Bakhmut due to the lack of certain weapons in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Military expert Oleh Zhdanov says that the Ukrainian military is sorely lacking mines and mortars. The question of whether Ukraine will receive long-range missiles is also an acute issue.
According to him, the Ukrainian military is now in need of multi-purpose self-propelled mortars, which are not included in certain military aid packages from partners.
"This is a problem... Our infantry is paying with their lives for the lack of such weapons as mortars," the expert said.
He also notes that in the same battles around Bakhmut, the Russians periodically gain an advantage because the Ukrainian Armed Forces simply do not have time to "mow them down".
"We simply cannot keep up physically. There is a catastrophic lack of mortars or mines for mortars. They are also sorely lacking," the military expert emphasizes.
