Ukraine is not considering a ceasefire in exchange for guarantees from the Western alliance.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press briefing following a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to him, he hopes for assistance from France, as Ukraine is experiencing a shortage of equipment.

"This is not a topic of our discussions, no truces. We did not want to talk about it. I saw something like that in the media. Russia works a lot with the media on this information, so everything is clear here," the President said.

He added that another topic for conversation with Macron was the approval for the use of "certain long-range munitions."

"At the moment, we do not have enough of our drones for long distances, so we are looking for funding for domestic production, as well as certain approvals from our partners," Zelenskyy said.
