Russia launched a massive strike on residential areas of Kryvyi Rih on April 4.
More than a dozen people were killed in the attack, including children.

Russia attacked the city
Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that the Russians struck with ballistic missiles.
It is known that the attack caused fires in the city. Apartment buildings were damaged. Cars and garages are also burning.
According to Head of the City Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, there was a children’s playground near the impact site.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine clarified that five apartment buildings were damaged. They noted that police officers were conducting door-to-door checks to make sure no victims remained in their homes.
The area affected by the strike has been cordoned off by police to maintain public order and protect citizens’ property.
What is known about the victims
Serhiy Lysak reported that as of 8:00 p.m., 14 people had been killed by the ballistic missile strike. More than 50 people were injured.
Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that six children were among the killed.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration, more than 30 people are currently in medical facilities.
«Among the wounded are children. The youngest is just 3 months old. The boy suffered lacerations. He received medical assistance. He will recover at home,» Lysak said.
What weapon Russia used
Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, clarified that the weapon used was a cluster ballistic missile — specifically, an Iskander.
«A Russian cluster ballistic missile, preliminarily an „Iskander“. This was a deliberate strike intended to kill a large number of people,» Kovalenko stated.
The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, emphasized that Russia does not randomly choose its targets — «it strikes at people.»
«And this is its true face,» Lubinets wrote on social media.
Zelenskyy responded
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the bloody missile strike on Kryvyi Rih carried out by Russia this evening.
He wrote about it on social media.
«A Russian missile against an ordinary city. Just on a street. In a residential area. Preliminary data: ballistic missile strike,» the Head of State reported.
«Russian strikes every day. People killed every day. There is only one reason this continues: Russia does not want a ceasefire — and we see that. The whole world sees that. Every missile, every attack drone proves that Russia wants only war. And only the world’s pressure on Russia, all efforts to strengthen Ukraine — our air defense, our forces — only that will determine when the war ends,» the President emphasized.
Zelenskyy called on the United States, European countries, and the rest of the world to force Russia to abandon terror and war.
«And this must be ensured: peace is needed,» he concluded.
As a reminder, on April 2, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. The attack killed 17 people, 11 of whom remain in the hospital. Four of them died.
