This opinion was expressed by military expert Valeriy Ryabykh, Director of Development at the information and consulting company Defense Express, during a broadcast on Espreso.
He says that Ukraine could primarily target military facilities that Russia uses to carry out terrorist attacks against Ukraine.
"The same missile-drones, that were announced on August 24, can be used for such strikes. Their main purpose, as announced, is to reduce military potential, used in particular to terrorize the civilian population. These targets include more than two dozen airfields, from which the tools of terror against Ukrainians are launched, as well as other launch sites, which are known to intelligence," he explained.
Ryabykh also notes that Western countries should respond to the massive missile attack on Ukraine.
"To be frank, Ukraine will try to resolve this with its own means for now, but it is important to emphasize that the statement made by Ukraine's Foreign Minister is also significant. He said there should be two main responses from our partners to such attacks. This is to give permission for long-range strikes with their weapons to stop these terrorist attacks from Russia as quickly as possible. And, of course, they should also help defend Ukraine, as was the case with Israel, by intercepting these means over Ukrainian territory to prevent them from reaching Poland, as we have seen happen again today," the expert added.
