The Russian army continues its attempts to break through the Ukrainian defense. The most intense battles today are happening simultaneously on three fronts," military expert Oleh Zhdanov reported on "24 Kanal".

According to the expert, these directions include Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk.

"The quantity of attacks from the Russian army there is off the charts," Zhdanov stated.

The occupiers are storming Ukrainian positions.

"The assaults in the Pokrovsk direction do not cease. They are constant. In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy also tries to press against the front line, seeking a weak spot to make a breakthrough. The occupiers predominantly push either to the north or to the south.

"To the north, near Kalynivka, there's a canal hidden underground, which could be crossed quietly if there's a successful breakthrough in our defense, something the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not allowed so far. To the south, the Russians hope to bypass along the road to Pokrovsk towards the intersection at Kostiantynivka, entering Chasiv Yar from the south. There's an unstable number of attacks, ranging from 10 to 30 per day, but they are also regular," Zhdanov explained.

The military expert says that regarding the Toretsk direction, he has the impression that the command of the Russian occupation forces may choose it as the main one for the strike.

"The main battle may take place there, because in the event of a breakthrough in the Toretsk direction, the occupiers will have an operational advantage in all three indicated directions," Zhdanov explained.
