Apartment Blocks in Mariupol Shelled by Russian Troops Start to Collapse
In the Russia-controlled Mariupol, the apartment blocks shelled by the Russian army during the siege of the city, start to collapse.
One of the damaged houses collapsed just yesterday leaving a woman, who stayed in the basement, buried under the rubbles, as Petro Andriushchenko, the Adviser to the Mayor of Mariupol, reported.
According to him, the first apartment block located at Zelenskoho Street, 30, collapsed on July 3rd leaving a woman, who stayed in the basement, buried under the debris. Luckily, she survived the attack and managed to get out.
“The cause of collapse is flooding of basements due to burst water supply utilities. The water finishes off what survived the Russian bombings. There are no more save buildings in Mariupol, however the people continue to live there, since they simply have no other shelter”, Petro Andriushchenko posted.
