Elections in Ukraine will take place no earlier than six months after the martial law ends.
This was stated by Head of the "Servant of the People" faction, David Arakhamia.
"I see that there are some discussions about elections again. This is not the first time during the war. So, I will remind once again that, first of all, elections are impossible during martial law," Arakhamia wrote.
He also reminded that, as part of the Jean Monnet Dialogue, leaders of all factions and groups reached an agreement that elections will take place no earlier than six months after the end of martial law.
Head of the "Servant of the People" party, Olena Shulyak, also emphasized that there will be no elections until the war is over. In her opinion, anyone manipulating election dates is "playing into the hands of the Kremlin."
"Instigating and disinforming — that's their goal. Elections in Ukraine are impossible right now because the law and security come first. The priority is one: to end the war as quickly and fairly as possible. After that, elections. But not the other way around. War and elections are not the backdrop for political games. Think critically. And remember: the main battle now is not for ballots, but for the country," Shulyak said.
