Are there negotiations with Russia regarding strikes on energy infrastructure? Yermak responds
The Head of the Presidential Office called this information in the media false.
Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak
Ukraine is not conducting direct negotiations with Russia to prevent attacks on energy facilities.
This statement was made by Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President, in an interview with Natalia Moseichuk on the “United News” informational marathon.
“These so-called negotiations, as reported, claiming to be between Ukraine and Russia, are definitely untrue. What is happening? We held thematic conferences. The first conference focused on energy security, co-organized by Qatar. During this conference, we established principles related to this point of the Peace Formula. Many countries participated. However, all these conferences were held without Russia. Afterward, we said that if any country, for example, is ready to implement these agreements with Ukraine and separately with Russia, then they may proceed. The same applies to food security,” Yermak explained.
Yermak also assured that, for now, no agreements had been reached by anyone. If such agreements arise, Ukraine is open to considering them.
“I can say for certain that Ukraine is not conducting any negotiations with Russia,” he added.
