During the night of November 27, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 89 "Shahed"-type strike UAVs and drones of unspecified types. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 36 drones.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
It was noted that the enemy attacked Ukraine from the directions of Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
"As of 9:00 a.m., 36 enemy UAVs were shot down by air defense in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Mykolaiv regions," the statement said.
Additionally, 48 UAVs dissapeared from radars. Likely due to active electronic warfare, five drones deviated from the controlled airspace and flew towards Belarus, Russia, and the temporarily occupied territories.
Due to the falling debris of the enemy drones, private houses and apartment buildings, as well as residents' property in Kyiv region, were damaged.
