Battles for Selydove: have the occupiers entered the city?
The occupiers are storming the Pokrovsk direction.
War
The Russian army has not been able to enter the city of Selydove in Donetsk region. Currently, battles are ongoing on the outskirts of the city.
National Guard officer Oleksandr Ryasnyi told about this on the air of “ApostropheTV”.
"The enemy has not penetrated the city. The fighting is taking place on the outskirts. Although Russian war correspondents are actively promoting the idea that they are already in Selydove, this is not true. Selydove is completely under our control," the military officer stated.
According to him, the occupiers are currently trying to capture as many settlements as possible in the Pokrovsk direction before the cold sets in. Russian military forces use equipment - tanks, armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles - only after the infantry has managed to establish a foothold.
The goal of the Russian army, he says, is to gain footholds and create logistical hubs and a base for future offensive campaigns.
