Belarus claims "tension" at the border with Ukraine: analysts explain the propagandists' claims

Belarus continues to escalate the situation at the border with Ukraine through information campaigns.

This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War.

On June 29, Russian military bloggers claimed that Russia must be prepared to defend Belarus from Ukrainian aggression and that Russia could destroy Kyiv using glide bombs or other unspecified weapons to protect Belarus.

However, Belarusian military officials states that there were no provocations along the Belarus-Ukraine border after the alleged drone strike on Belarusian territory by the all-Russian pro-Ukrainian forces on June 26.

On June 28, the Belarusian State Border Committee reported that on June 26, Belarusian forces shot down a drone allegedly belonging to the all-Russian pro-Ukrainian Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) near the Belarus-Ukraine border in Gomel region.
