Biden Will Arrive in Europe in February: Duda and Levits Confirm the Visit
The Latvian President believes that the US President's visit to Europe will be a very important signal to all allies, as well as to Russia.
U.S. President Joe Biden will visit Central Europe in February, and over the next few days the exact destination will be confirmed, as Presidents of Poland and Latvia Andrzej Duda and Egils Levits announced this during a joint press conference in Riga, Ukrinform reports.
"We are expecting a visit from President Joe Biden. President Biden is likely to come to our part of Europe in February," the Polish leader said.
He clarified that Central Europe is the territory from Romania to Estonia. It is not yet known which countries the US president will visit.
"We do not have this information. Perhaps we will know it in the next few days," Duda added, explaining that such a visit involves enhanced security, so its details are kept secret.
"Every visit of the US President in such a difficult moment to this part of Europe, near the place of military operations in Ukraine, is a strengthening of our security," the Polish President emphasized.
Levits also noted that Biden's visit to Europe would be a very important signal to all allies, as well as to Russia.
