A ceasefire in the Black Sea must begin with official documents and clearly defined terms - none of which exist at this time. This statement was made by Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, on the air of Ranok.LIVE.

“There is no formalized document specifying all the requirements, conditions, and boundaries. Consequently, it’s quite difficult to talk about adherence to any agreements. We need to wait for the negotiation process to conclude and for it to be legally formalized,” Pletenchuk explained.

He added that demining operations in the Black Sea are ongoing continuously, covering routes, anchorage points, and loading areas. The process is quite difficult, as it takes place under combat conditions.

“For us, the primary requirement is the cessation of attacks on port infrastructure. In other words, ensuring that civilian sailors and commercial shipping can operate without the constant threat of ballistic strikes,” the Navy spokesman emphasized.
