Russian forces are destroying Toretsk in Donetsk region, where active fighting continues. "Only concrete shells" remain of the buildings in the city.
This was reported by Anastasia Bobovnikova, Spokesperson for the "Luhansk" Operational-Tactical Group, during a broadcast on "KYIV 24."
"It is very, very difficult to say whether we control 40% or 50% today, or to give any other estimate - it might even be somewhat incorrect," Bobovnikova emphasized.
According to her, "the enemy is wiping the city of Toretsk off the face of the earth." The occupiers are doing everything they can to fully seize control and "hold positions where there is practically nothing left."
"If you've seen footage of what Toretsk looks like, it's terrifying. All the buildings are burned out. Only the concrete shells remain. This is how the enemy is trying to capture the city, erasing it from the face of the earth with artillery, aviation and drones," the military spokesperson emphasized.
Bobovnikova also noted that the head of the Toretsk military administration assured that the civilians who remain in the city are provided with long-term food supplies and drinking water.
"However, the situation in the city itself is extremely dire. Active battles and heavy shelling are ongoing. Therefore, every civilian must seriously consider whether to stay in this city. It would be best to simply evacuate," she explained.
