Critical heating situation in Kryvyi Rih
Kryvyi Rih is facing a critical situation with its heating supply, leaving over 110,000 residents without heating.
This was reported by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
A total of 934 residential buildings, 43 schools, 11 medical facilities — including City Hospital No. 16 — and a social center remain without heating.
Vasyl Shkurakov, First Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development, held an urgent meeting to address the situation, hearing reports from municipal and regional authorities as well as representatives from "Naftogaz" and Kryvyi Rih’s Combined Heat and Power Plant.
“The disruption of the heating season is unacceptable, as the lives and health of tens of thousands of people depend on it. All responsible parties must act as efficiently as possible to resolve the issue in the shortest time frame. Heat supply to the homes of Kryvyi Rih residents must be restored without any delays,” the minister emphasized.
The issue of heating supply will remain under the supervision of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, "Naftogaz", the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, and municipal authorities. It will also be monitored continuously by the Headquarters for Heating Season Preparation. If necessary, the State Emergency Service, together with local authorities, is prepared to deploy additional Points of Invincibility.
