At present, Mykolaiv region is not a priority target for the Russian aggressor. Furthermore, the occupying army currently does not have the capacity to launch an offensive on the city.

This was stated by Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, in an interview with "Ukrinform."

"Of course, if they send five North Korean brigades to cross the Dnipro River, then we will have problems. But as of now, this is not the case. I’ve already said: if I see the accumulation of troops or preparations that threaten Mykolaiv, I will inform about it," Kim said.

The head of the Regional Military Administration also commented on the information that Russia had reinforced its grouping on Kinburn Spit. According to him, this currently does not pose a threat to Mykolaiv.

"The Kinburn Spit is large, everything is visible there. It’s hard for them to do anything from there. The real issue is that it needs to be liberated, and we need to protect our natural reserves, which have already suffered damages amounting to billions of euros," he added.
