He stated this at a media briefing, commenting on the US elections, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the correctness of Poland's foreign policy, which consists in maintaining political contacts with both Democrats and Republicans, has been affirmed.

He expressed gratitude to both presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, for their supportive remarks regarding Poland and the alliance between Warsaw and Washington.

Sikorski emphasized that he remained in continuous contact with senior security officials within Trump’s camp. He asserted that Europe needed to take urgent responsibility for its security by increasing defense spending and making decisive choices regarding migration policy. "Poland is already doing what our allies are only beginning to consider," Sikorski remarked.

He believes that with renewed confidence in the EU and strong U.S. relations, Poland will lead in building the EU’s resilience.

"The winds of history are blowing even stronger, and Poland’s leadership will fulfill its mission," he concluded.
