Every public statement from the West about "progress" toward peace is followed by Russian missile strikes – Kovalenko

This was stated by Lieutenant Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

"Unfortunately, every public statement from the West about "progress" in moving toward peace is followed by missile strikes from Russia," he added.

"Putin has prepared resources for such swings. This was previously discussed. He accumulated them to conduct any dialogue like this throughout 2025. He hasn't changed, because during the ATO and Joint Forces Operation, he did similar actions on the eastern front – these are diplomatic methods that are closely intertwined with the front. Russia must be attacked and will be attacked. Without that, it won't work," he concluded.
