During night attacks, Russian forces have begun changing their tactics for missile strikes, using new methods to complicate the work of Ukraine's air defense.

Aviation expert Anatoliy Khrapchynskyi shared this information on the "Suspilne" broadcast.

According to him, the enemy first launches "Shahed" drones, followed by cruise and ballistic missiles. Additionally, the Russians are increasing the number of cruise missiles launched from tactical aviation, including the Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles.

"Most of the missiles flew toward one target, which made it harder for air defense systems to work. There has been a decrease in the use of strategic aviation with Kh-101 and Kh-555 missiles, but the enemy actively uses the remaining "Kalibr" missiles from the Black Sea Fleet’s ships and adds ballistic missiles," Khrapchynskyi explains.

The expert notes that Russian forces are actively using missiles with ballistic trajectories, which are more difficult to intercept. This has been evident in the latest attacks.

"Ukraine needs to significantly increase the number of air defense systems such as Patriot and SAMP-T," he emphasized.

In his opinion, the Kremlin understands the high cost of using strategic aviation and long-range missiles, as well as the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense, particularly with the arrival of F-16s.

"The appearance of the F-16s allows us to quickly intercept cruise missiles in the airspace, which is why Russians are now focusing on strikes on the frontline and border areas, where there are more vulnerable spots," Khrapchynskyi explained.

He also adds that the occupiers are actively looking for air defense systems in these areas to strike them.
