Russian forces have intensified pressure on the front, registering a record 213 combat clashes in one day, with their main focus on the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad sector, the expert said. He added that Ukrainian troops are in a “static defense” and do not have the resources for counterattacks.
Military expert Pavlo Narozhnyi, founder of the NGO Reactive Post, said this during an interview on Radio NV.
He noted a significant increase in the number of combat engagements on the front, citing 213 in a single day, and added that the situation is unchanged, with Ukrainian troops in a “static defense.”
“Counterattacks are unlikely. Right now, we are in a static defense. Our mission is to hold parts of the front, not to counterattack, as there are not enough resources,” Narozhnyi said.
The expert predicts that, in the coming weeks, Russia will likely concentrate its main effort on the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad sector. The occupiers’ strategic goal remains the same: to break through here and disrupt Ukraine’s logistics in Donbas.
New Ukrainian defensive line
At the same time, Pavlo Narozhnyi says that the Huliaipole area in Zaporizhzhia region has become strategically important for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He said that in this sector, Ukrainian forces are actively reinforcing the river running through Huliaipole, which will likely become a line where they hold back the enemy.
“The occupiers are gathering forces for a number of attacks, delivering them in waves. They will continue to press, because their strategic aim is to break through here and disrupt our logistics in Donbas. If they do break through, they could succeed. But so far, they are far from it,” Narozhnyi said.
