Ukraine should not make concessions to Putin and must continue strikes on military targets inside Russian territory.

Ukraine needs either a full ceasefire or none at all, as Putin seeks to halt hostilities only where he faces difficulties.

This opinion was voiced on Espreso TV by military expert and director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies, Valentyn Badrak.

“I will express my subjective opinion, but we need either a full ceasefire or none at all, because Putin only wants a ceasefire where it is difficult for him (that is, in the air),” he emphasizes.

According to the expert, Ukraine suffers losses every day after attacks, and this is painful.

“It pains me to learn almost every day that someone has been killed, someone wounded, and there is major destruction,” he says.

At the same time, Badrak stresses that, strategically, Ukraine cannot stop strikes on targets inside Russian territory.

“We must press, strike, because it’s a large territory and they cannot hide anything there,” he explains.

The expert emphasizes that strikes on Russian military targets are necessary to deter any enemy plans for aggression.

“Their air and missile defense will not operate across the entire territory of Russia. Only the Moscow region is strong, but that has been the case traditionally since Soviet times,” Badrak notes.

He adds that in the future, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to reach this region as well.

“When our ballistic capabilities are operational, we will, in principle, be able to reach there too,” he said.

He stresses the importance of endurance in the war.

“That is why our strength lies in endurance. And if we want not just to delay new hostilities or a war, but to strike such a blow that the enemy will stop thinking about aggression for a long time, we must hold out and not allow concessions to Putin,” the military expert concludes.
