Explosions at ammunition depots in Toropets: what will be the aftermath for Russia — Podolyak
Such strikes on enemy territory will allow for a "just finalization" of the war in Ukraine.

The drone attack on ammunition depots near the Russian city of Toropets in Tver region not only reduced the enemy’s arsenal, which will impact combat operations along the front line, but the explosions on enemy territory will make Russians feel the presence of war and push them to exert pressure on their own "elites" to end it.
This opinion was expressed by Mykhailo Podolyak, Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President, on the YouTube channel RBC-Ukraine.
"The destruction of this infrastructure... will optimally influence events on the front line and will significantly impact social consequences in Russia," he said.Podolyak added that such strikes need to increase significantly and should not rely solely on Ukrainian drones.
"To scale this up, it’s necessary to lift these informal bans on using Western weapons deep into Russian territory. Second, there needs to be a substantial increase in the number of tools. Because one thing is drones, while another is attacks at a distance of 100-200-300 km from the front line or from the state border of Ukraine with Russia, using ballistic missiles of appropriate range," he said.
The Presidential Office adviser also noted that such strikes should serve as an additional argument to convince Western partners that Russia’s apparent military might is, in fact, a fiction. He reminded that the Russians were already seeking assistance in missile and shell supplies from North Korea and Iran.
"More than 6-7 million shells have been received by Russia from North Korea... and they are already receiving missiles of certain ranges from Iran. And undoubtedly, all this can be destroyed, preventing its use on the front line... In this war, the destruction of Russian infrastructure, including deep within its territory, will have a huge impact on future events," Podolyak added.
According to him, "this war can truly be justly finalized" with such strikes.
"We need to end the discussions regarding the notion that Russia is a country that cannot be defeated due to its vast resources, etc. No, that's not the case. And this strike on Toropets clearly shows that everything can be destroyed, regardless of what Russian propaganda says," Podolyak concluded.
