Fighting Continues on the Outskirts of Lysychansk – Haidai

According to Serhii Haidai, the  Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the next top-priority target for Russian troops after securing Lysycahnsk will be Donetsk Region.

According to him, bitter fighting continues on the outskirts of Lysycahnsk, while around 10 thousand people are still staying in the city.

The enemy has used all available reserves and now constantly attempts to erect bridges over the river in order to deploy even more military hardware. The Russian troops mostly use outdated armor, such as T-62 tanks removed from long-term storage, although their number is too great.

Meanwhile, the invasion forces are suffering significant losses, so the Russian commander order to withdraw entire battalion tactical groups for roundout. The hospitals and morgues in the Russia-controlled areas are full of Russian KIAs.

According to Haidai, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have focused on attacking Russian ordinance and fuel depots in the logistic rear in order to slow down the enemy advance on the battlefield.

"Although, we still do not observe any decrease of shellfire intensity. They operate huge logistic capabilities on site. Russia has giant ordinance storage facilities all over the country, and now all ordinance intended for delivered is shipped to Ukraine”, he said.

According to Haidai, in the seized areas the Russian troops terrorize local population: they search for pro-Ukrainian activists and families of military servicemen, run raids on public libraries and destroy books written in Ukrainian language.

In Sievierodonetsk, the so-called Kadyrov’s squads have recently attacked a mosque.

Haidai also added that the invaders were actively redeploying their armor closer to Donetsk Region.

“Of course, after securing Luhansk Region, their top-priority target will be Donetsk Region”, he summarized.
