Even 35 helicopters are sufficient for Ukraine to cover the entire front line and perform tasks sector by sector. These aren't soldiers, who are needed in large numbers.

The pilot of the 11th Separate Army Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, with the call sign "Viking," who has over 100 combat sorties, said this in an interview with TSN host Natalia Ostrovska.

According to him, Ukraine has enough helicopter aviation, but it lacks modern weapons for them.

“To have proper guided weapons, to be able to hover somewhere day or night and hit a moving tank with a guided missile. Currently, we don't have the capability to do that because the guided missiles we have in service are still of Soviet type. If we use them, it would be a one-way flight. Even with these missiles, no one would manage to hit any tank or APC. The helicopter would be hit first... At least if we could retrofit our helicopters, install new avionics and weapons – it would be like an "Apache" on a minimal scale (referring to the AH-64 Apache, the main American attack helicopter, – editor’s note), but of Soviet type... But we have what we have”, - "Viking said.
