The Ukrainian Armed Forces maintain control over part of the city of Kurakhove, but the enemy does not stop.
This was the opinion expressed by a volunteer and the chief sergeant of the 46th Airmobile Brigade during an interview on the "Observation Post" program.
As of now, part of Kurakhove remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite constant pressure from Russian troops. The occupiers are spreading disinformation about the city being fully captured, but according to the military, this is not true. At the same time, the invaders are gradually advancing.
"There are no defensive lines within the city itself, they were only outside its borders," said the volunteer.
He emphasizes that the main issue is the lack of sufficient personnel. The soldier noted that all frontline units are experiencing a shortage of staff, which significantly complicates the situation.
"It's not about bad people, it's just that there aren't enough of them. Two or three soldiers can't hold an entire building. It's unrealistic," the sergeant said.
Given the situation, the soldier also adds that Russian forces are not using any special strategies on the Kurakhove front, simply advancing with large forces, even at the cost of significant casualties.
"Despite the losses, they always bring in fresh troops," he stressed.
Such tactics, according to the fighter, have been observed in other areas of the front, notably during the battle for Bakhmut.
The situation in Kurakhove remains difficult, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are doing everything possible to hold their positions and prevent the occupiers from advancing further.
