Ukraine will not be able to achieve parity in weapons with Russia, as long as the Russian occupiers have "nuclear weapons." However, there are scenarios that could help us come under the "umbrella" of nuclear security.
People's deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko said this within the framework of the joint telethon.
"As long as our enemy has nuclear weapons and we do not have nuclear weapons, there will never be parity. So we only have three options. Either we become members of the Alliance with nuclear weapons, that is NATO, where the United States, the United Kingdom, and France have nuclear weapons. Or we conclude a separate agreement with one of these countries for them to place their nuclear weapons on our territory, as Russia has done on the territory of Belarus... Or we restore our nuclear status," Honcharenko said.
