How Ukraine will be able to export its grain via alternative routes: Minister's explanation
The minister spoke about the difficulties.
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi
Ukraine can use the ports of Croatia to export its grain abroad; however, their capacities will be insufficient, so it will be necessary to involve ports in other countries.
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi, said this on the air of the telethon.
He noted that the use of Croatian ports will not be enough to effectively export Ukrainian agricultural products.
"This is a partially viable option (to involve the ports of Croatia in the grain agreement, - ed.)... There is no panacea, no single port will solve all problems. This route will tentatively go through Transcarpathia, Hungary... The volume is some hundreds of thousands (tons, - ed.), and we need millions... I think that Slovenian and Italian ports can be used on the Adriatic Sea... as well as the Baltic ports of Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Holland," explained the minister.
