Currently, the Russian army has concentrated all its combat-ready units in the Pokrovsk direction. If Pokrovsk in Donetsk region can't be held, then Chasiv Yar will be doomed as well.

This was stated by military expert Pavlo Narozhny in an interview with "Radio NV."

According to him, Ukrainian forces are currently unable to change the dynamics that have developed in this sector of the front. Specifically, the Russians have an advantage due to the large number of guided aerial bomb strikes.

"It appears to be a matter of time before fighting reaches the outskirts of Pokrovsk. The second direction where they are also applying pressure is Vozdvyzhenka, a village near Pokrovsk," Narozhny said.

Pokrovsk is very important for the occupiers, because of the critical road from Myrnohrad to Kramatorsk. This route is a key supply line to Chasiv Yar.

"If they cut it off, the only remaining route will be through Sloviansk, and even that can't be considered completely safe. If the Russians manage to disrupt our logistics, there will be no options left - Chasiv Yar will be doomed. It will only be a matter of time before we have to withdraw, as it will become impossible to supply the troops there," Pavlo Narozhny explained.

The expert expressed hope that the enemy could still be stopped at the approaches to Pokrovsk, as was done near Chasiv Yar.

"We understand that the enemy has about a month left to exert such pressure. Why? Because at the beginning of September, the wave of mobilized troops, who were drafted into the army, after the adoption of the law to strengthen mobilization will start arriving at the front," Pavlo Narozhny said.
