Invaders Barraged Kharkiv Region 66 Times During One Day: 7-Year-Old Child Was Killed by Enemy Shells
At least 11 civilians were killed by Russian shells in Kharkiv Region during the last day.
In the early hours of April 11th, the Russian troops barraged Kharkiv from Grad and Smerch MRLS at least 66 times, as Oleh Syniehubov, the Head of Kharkiv Military Regional Administration reported.
According to him, during the night, the invaders ruthlessly attacked residential districts without any military or special infrastructure facilities.
"As for the barrages we faced last night, there were at least 66 volleys from Grad and Smerch multiple rocket-launching systems, artillery howitzers and tanks. The active combat zone was along Derhachi axis, in Zolochivskyi District. Once again, the invaders targeted residential districts and blocks, such as Piatyhatky, Saltivka, Oleksiivka, KhTZ, Kholodna Hora, etc. Yesterday, we confirmed at least 11 civilian fatalities, including 7-year-old child. More than 14 people were injured and admitted to hospitals”, he described.
Syniehubov also added that Izium axis still remains the critical section of the frontline. In this active combat zone, the enemy suffers significant losses, including aircrafts, tanks and personnel.
"Currently, we don’t observe the enemy manned aircrafts in the Kharkiv skies. Only several UAVs used for intelligence purpose. One of them was successfully downed tonight”, the official shared.
As for evacuation efforts, the authorities continue to evacuate the residents from Lozova and Barvinkove towns along the Izium axis. Thus, around 30 thousand residents have already left Lozova, which is almost a half of the entire town’s population.
"As for humanitarian routes, the enemy fails to coordinate and approve any of them. We evacuate the residents through our own efforts to the closest controlled settlements, where the volunteer and local government officials help the refugees to move further away to the safer areas. The most critical situation is in the areas, where we’re securing back our territories. For example, yesterday we completely secured and cleared the town of Vilkhivka along Rohan axis. Today, we’re planning to deliver there the first humanitarian supplies. The towns and villages along Vovchanska axis are also facing great challenges. These territories are currently temporarily occupied by Russian troops. Lypetskyi and Tsyrkunivsky axes are another two difficult directions”, he summed up.
