Invaders Escape and Bring Home Their Stolen Loot: Exclusive Details from Kherson Region

The panic is spreading among Russian troops in seized parts of Kherson Region, while they rob local population and getting ready to escape, as Ms. Natalia, the head of a village in Kherson Region, who recently evacuated to Ukraine-controlled territory, said in her interview for TSN’s Youtube Channel.

"Invaders are in panic. They are getting ready to flee taking home all loot they manage to plunder. Today I received multiple phone calls from many people, who complained that invaders were going to door-to-door and ordering residents to pack their things. There are some cases, when civilians were brought to the gathering point at the river port by force. In villages, they force people into buses and bring them away. I don’t know if it’s just their panic, or they are going to use these civilians as a human shield", she said.

When asked how the behavior of Russian troops has changed during the last six months, Ms. Natalia responded as follows:

"Initially they were rather friendly. They tried to talk with people, told us that they meant no harm, distributed humanitarian aid rations. Someone accepted those, someone didn’t. Now they have grown violent. They break into apartments and houses, take everything they can carry, rob local farmers. They take even old fuel tanks and rags. They dismantle the farming vehicles, remove the battery packs".

According to her, the Russian troops are now so aggressive, they may stop civilians right on the street.

"There is no way you can roam on the street, drink some coffee or walk with you child in Kherson and Kherson Region anymore. They may stop you any moment to check your phone and ID papers, God forbid, if you have even the slightest mention of Ukraine or the words “orcs” and “Russian fascists” in your phone. You will go to jail immediately. Sometimes they take parents away leaving a child along in the street. It’s so scary when you go to buy medicines at the pharmacy, go to the grocery story or bring humanitarian aid to people. During the last two months, the things have been just terrible, and now it’s getting even worse”, she added.
