Invaders in Luhansk Region Force Children to Accept Russian Citizenship
Ukrainians who refuse Russian passports are fired from job.
The invaders have started the forced process of giving Russian citizenship for children in Luhansk Region, as Luhansk Regional Militray Administration reports.
"The Kremlin is in a hurry to forcibly issue passports to the residents of Russia-controlled Luhansk Region. What they did not consider it necessary to do for eight years, they are trying to do in a few months to instill in people a lack of faith in Ukraine and, at the same time, to strengthen their own propaganda," the statement reads.
The invaders have already approved a procedure for applying for Russian citizenship for children below the age of 14 residing in Russia-controlled territory. "For this purpose, one of the parents must be a holder of Russian passport. Of course, the one may refuse it, but such refusal is punished by immediate termination of employment and denial of social benefit. The invaders leave people with no time to think”, Luhansk Regional Militray Administration stressed.
