Invaders in Melitopol Area Kidnap Whole Villages Forcing People to Dig Trenches — Fedorov
Civilian population of Zaporizhzhia Region is forced to dig the trenches for Russian troops.
Invaders in Zaporizhia Region use civilians as cheap labor, forcing them to dig trenches, as Ivan Fedorov, the Mayor of Melitopol, reported during the National telethon.
"They don’t use the inventive tactics anymore. Since no one in Melitopol city and district was willing to dig trenches even for a high wage, the invaders decided to resort to terror. Now they simply kidnap the whole villages and force the people to work at the construction of defense fortifications against their will," Ivan Fedorov said.
According to him, earlier people were offered temporary jobs through the employment centers. They were promised lodging, three meals a day and a salary of first 80,000 rubles, then 70,000 rubles. But when the locals learned that the job was digging trenches for the invaders, they immediately refused. So the invaders take people captive and make them dig the trenches through force.
