Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, emphasized that if Europe wants peace, it should increase the production of weapons and ban the export of artillery shells to other continents.

He wrote about this in a column for Le Monde.

The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot destroy the enemy's artillery and protect their soldiers, because they critically lack artillery ammunition. According to him, Ukraine has found itself in this situation because its partners in Europe and the United States spent more time discussing, than supplying our country with a sufficient amount of artillery shells.

"Because they did not accelerate their weapons production in time, they delayed the procurement of military equipment from third countries, and they exported shells made in Europe to other parts of the world," the Minister said.

He emphasized that due to such a delay in the supply of weapons, Ukraine was cautiously optimistic about the decision made by the country's allies during the Paris conference, which took place on February 26, where they discussed increasing the purchase of shells in third countries.

"We are deeply grateful for this decision. But it is not enough. There is an urgent need for decisive and systematic decisions, not for feverish discussions," Kuleba added.

The diplomat explained that the success of the strategy depends only on unity among society, political and military leaders, soldiers and allies.

"Without bold and honest answers to the questions posed at the Paris conference, there will be neither unity nor strategy," the Minister emphasized.
