Kyiv Remains Key Goal for Russia: Klychko Spoke About Preparations for Potential Attacks
Previously, Kyiv City State Administration warned about extremely high threat of missile and bomb strikes against Ukrainian decision-making centers on August 23rd – 24th.

The invasion army is going to seize the entire Ukraine, and the capital city remains it’s top-priority target, as Vitalii Klychko, the Mayor of Kyiv, said during the national telethon.
"I don’t want to comfort anyone. We understand that Kyiv remains the top-priority goal for the aggressor. Therefore, we are constantly getting ready for new attacks. Yes, indeed, today our air defence system is more efficient, we have military units with excellent training and proper fortifications. However, we have to stay alert and always be ready”, the Mayor said.
Klychko also urged the city residents not to ignore the safety precautions and proceed to the shelters in case of air raid alarm.
He also stressed that Ukraine will definitely regain control over all territories seized by the Russian barbarians.
"Today we add different layers of meaning to the word “Independence”. We are going through extremely difficult challenges and demonstrate unity of the nation fighting for its freedom. I believe that Ukraine will become strong and successful European state”, Klychko stressed.
