The fire caused by the Russian shellfire resulted in disconnection of the last power transmission line connecting Zaporizhzhia NPP hub with the Ukrainian energy system. The power generation unit №6 is unloaded and disconnected from the grid, the Press Office of NAEC “Enerhoatom” reports.
Today, on September 5th, 2022, the fire caused by Russian shells resulted on disconnection of ZaCHP - Ferosplavna 330 kV power transmission line, i.e. the last lien connecting the ZNPP/ ZaCHP hub with the energy system of Ukraine.
"This resulted in unloading and disconnection of the power generation unit №6, which now supplies the power only for ZNPP balance-of-plant needs”, the report reads.
According to Enerhoatom, during the last three days the Russian troops continued intensive shelling of territory around Zaporizhzhia NPP. The enemy shellfire resulted in damage and disconnection of the following power transmission lines:
• 750 kV ZNPP – Dniprovska,
• 330 kV ZaCHP – Kakhovska
• PTL 330 kV ZaCHP - Melitopol.
The shells also damaged AT 750/330 kV ZNPP line. Other lines connecting ZNPP/ZaCHP hub had been damaged earlier.
