For around seven months, the villagers had lived under the Russia rule. According to local resident, Mr. Oleksnadr, the invaders couldn’t resist, but to have fun here in their own sick way. They shot people and fired at residential houses for no reason. The torture prison was set up right at the local school building. The local residents were kept hostage at the basement, while Russian ammunition boxes were put right among the school desks.

Since March 10th, the local residents had been trapped in the village – they were prohibited to leave the village and were threatened with summary executions. Invaders took away their mobile phones and robbed their houses. Washing machines, refrigerators and carpets from the houses were stocked at the local pig farm, where according to eyewitness accounts Russian units were deployed. When the Armed Forces of Ukraine started to counterattack, the invaders fled to fast that left behind their shoes and underwear.

Liubymivka in Kherson Region was liberated in early October. In the face of upcoming winter season, the locals attempt to repair and their devastated dwellings and protect them from cold. People believe that the invaders once will be punished for all the pain they brought.
