On the morning of October 10th, after announcing a large-scale air alert, Russia launched a missile attack on Kyiv.

Explosions in four districts of Kyiv

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, Russian rockets attacked four districts of Kyiv: Shevchenkivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Holosiivskyi and Desnyanskyi.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, three hits were recorded, the roadway was damaged there. As a result, six cars caught fire. There are also “arrivals” at two infrastructure facilities.

A Russian rocket hit a one-story building in Sviatoshynskyi district.

In the Holosiivkyi district, there were two hits to various critical infrastructure facilities.

In the Desnyanskyi district, Russia also targeted a critical infrastructure facility. The consequences are clarified.

Many dead and wounded

The exact number of victims as a result of the Russian attack is being established. Emergency services work at the places of explosions. As of 12:00, it is known about 32 wounded and at least five dead.

The subway works exclusively as a shelter

The movement of trains on all lines of the capital metro was suspended on the morning of October 10th due to a massive rocket attack. Underground stations work as shelters. A lot of people have gathered there, waiting for the air raid alarm to go off.

Russia also struck the Kyiv region

There are also airstrikes in three districts of the region - strikes were carried out on critical and civilian infrastructure, the head of the regional military administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, said. There are victims - people are under the rubble.
