New "Pain Point" on the Frontline: Expert Named the Direction Where Fighting May Intensify

Russian invaders in Donetsk Region are concentrating troops near the city of Vuhledar, so this direction may soon become a new "pain point" at the front, as a military expert, Reserve Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan said on the air of the National TV marathon broadcasted by TSN Youtube channel.

"One of the main points that is likely to turn painful in the near future is the area of Vuhledar, southwest of Donetsk. Russian troops are accumulating there, dispersing in the surrounding villages. They are coming from Mariupol. We observe the traffic from Rostov and Taganrog to Mariupol, and further towards Donetsk, to Volnovakha area, and then they disperse in the villages," Svitan said.

According to him, the inavders, on the one hand, are preparing for a strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Vuhledar to Volnovakha, and on the other hand, preparing their own counterattack in order "to prevent our plans from happening or try to reach Vuhledar, then go north to Kurakhove, enter the rear of our Donetsk grouping with the strategic task of reaching Kurakhove and further to Pokrovsk."

"Thus, one of the strategic goals for Russian troops is to enter the rear of our Donetsk grouping from the Dnipro side, near Donetsk in the area of Pokrovsk," the expert added.
