Nikopol under Russian attack again: two killed, ten injured

Today, July 2, the Russian army attacked Nikopol and Nikopol region again.

This was reported by Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, and the press service of the National Police.

On July 2, after 1 p.m., the enemy shelled the city center with artillery. As a result of the attack, a 61-year-old woman, who was near a clinic at the intersection of two streets, was killed. The occupiers also directed a drone at the yard of a private house – an 86-year-old resident was killed by the explosion.

It is also known that ten people were injured. Four of them were hospitalized in moderate condition. Among the injured are two minors, aged 9 and 17. They are receiving all the necessary assistance.

According to the Head of the Regional Military Administration, three apartment buildings, five private houses, four outbuildings and seven cars were damaged in the city. Two educational institutions, a clinic, an administrative building, shops, a beauty salon and a bank were also damaged.

The occupiers also struck Myrove, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. According to preliminary information, one person was injured in Pokrovsk community of Nikopol region.

It should be noted that opposite Nikopol, across the Dnipro River, are Enerhodar and Kamianka-Dniprovska, occupied by the Russians. The occupiers almost daily strike Nikopol with drones and artillery.
