During his visit to Kyiv, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, in a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, proposed a "ceasefire" and negotiations with Russia.
A video of the press conference between Zelenskyy and Orbán, summarizing the meeting, was published on the Ukrainian President's Telegram channel.
Orbán stated that Hungary highly values all of President Zelenskyy's initiatives for achieving peace but noted that they require a lot of time.
"Due to the rules of international diplomacy, they are complicated, and I asked the President to consider whether it might be possible to approach this differently. To take a break," Orbán explained.
The Hungarian Prime Minister added that he meant to cease fire and start negotiations with Russia. He believes that a ceasefire would accelerate the pace of these negotiations.
