The Russian occupying army is deliberately destroying Toretsk in Donetsk region, using tactical aviation and bombarding the city with guided aerial bombs.

This was reported by a serviceman of the 41st Separate Mechanized Brigade, Yevhen, in a comment to "Suspilne Donbas."

"When we first arrived in Toretsk, the city was still relatively intact compared to now. The process of destruction is very rapid because the enemy is using tactical aviation. Recently, about 15 guided aerial bombs hit the city in one night," the soldier said.

Yevhen recalled that when he and his comrades first arrived, a café in Toretsk was still operational, but a few days later, it was destroyed by an air raid. Nearby buildings were also destroyed.

According to his observations, even residents who a year or a year and a half ago saw the possibility of living in the city are now ready to evacuate.

"Combat actions have intensified significantly, and the enemy is doing to Toretsk what they have done to other cities: Chasiv Yar, Bakhmut, Mariupol," Yevhen stressed.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia resumed active attacks and assaults on Toretsk on June 20. Nazar Voloshyn, Spokesman for the "Khortytsia" grouping of troops, said on June 21 that the Russian army is trying to advance towards Chasiv Yar from the Toretsk direction.
