Podoliak on China's Plan for Ukraine: "It Is Not About Peace, But About Freezing the War"
Mykhailo Podoliak, the Advisor to the Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, comments on China's "peace plan" for Ukraine.
China's proposals regarding Russia's war in Ukraine are focused not on the idea of a "peace plan," but rather on freezing of the conflict, as Mykhailo Podoliak, the Advisor to the Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, tweeted.
"Any "peace plan" with ceasefire only and, as a result, a new delimitation line and continued occupation of Ukrainian territory isn’t about peace, but about freezing the war, Ukraine’s defeat, next stages of Russia genocide," Podoliak wrote.
He adds that Ukraine's position is well known - it is the withdrawal of Russian troops to the 1991 borders.
