Powerful strikes on Kharkiv: Yevlash said what would help withstand the shelling of the city
In particular, it is important to have different types of air defense systems for protection.
The aftermath of the shelling of Kharkiv
The Russian army often uses "S-300" anti-aircraft missiles as ballistic missiles to deliver powerful strikes on Kharkiv. Another advantage of the enemy is the extremely short distance from the border with Russia to the city.
This was reported by Spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash, on the air of the telethon.
According to him, the short distance and very high speed of these missiles "often determine the outcome." After all, there is very little time for the effective use of air defense systems.
"The only effective solution may be to suppress the enemy's tactical aviation, which uses guided air bombs. Of course, this involves detecting these systems and preempting them in carrying out fire strikes, as well as launching counterattacks," Yevlash emphasized.
He stressed the importance of having various types of air defense systems. Currently, Ukraine needs support from international partners to counter Russian missile strikes on Kharkiv.
