"Putin will not end the war himself": Zelenskyy addressed partners

Russian president Vladimir Putin can only be forced to end the war through joint pressure from Ukraine's partners.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his Telegram post.

The Ukrainian leader reminded that Ukraine is ready to implement the US proposal for an unconditional ceasefire, during which a reliable peace plan could be prepared, details discussed, and implemented.

"We believe that the responsibility of our partners is to ensure Russia’s readiness to end the war - not to look for reasons for it to continue for weeks, months, or years, but to put an end to it. Putin will not end the war himself. But America’s strength is enough to force him to do so," he said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that strong steps are needed for this.

"There must be strong pressure on the one who wants to continue this war. This is what "peace through strength" means," the Ukrainian President stated.
Zelenskyy thanked everyone who helps bring peace closer: the United States, Europe, and the entire world.

"Thank you to all the partners whose strength and diplomacy will ultimately succeed!" he concluded.
